Our plants have something to tell you

This website introduces you to a special selection of tropical houseplants, each with its own story to tell. Here, in our modern nursery (founded in 1948) in the Netherlands, we use environmentally responsible methods to grow the most beautiful houseplants all year long. We are so committed to the needs of the environment that our insulated greenhouses use heat released from generating electricity for the power grid. In fact, our tropical nursery, which covers 90,000 m² and is kept at 21ºC year round, consumes CO² instead of releasing it into the atmosphere. After all, plants use CO² to grow.

V.D.E. plant (Van Der Eijk plant) is a member of Floramotion, a growers' cooperative made up of seven trend-setting nurseries in the Netherlands. Together, we supply supermarket chains, garden centres and DIY outlets throughout most of Europe with houseplants.
